Activities

Troop 113 has weekly Monday evening meetings that are run by scout leadership and are 60 to 90 minutes depending on agenda.  The troop also takes a monthly campout somewhere in Texas.  These monthly campouts are selected and events planned by the scout leadership team.  In addition to the monthly campouts, the troop takes at least one high adventure every year to a BSA High Adventure Property in North America.  A standard rotation would be Philmont every other year and then Summit Bechtel, Sea Base or Northern Tier.   The pictures below show a list of recent meetings, campouts and High Adventures.   Annual Summer Camp is selected by the scouts from BSA Camps within a 2 day drive and is different every year.

Troop 113 also has a great climbing wall at our Scout House that enables us to have climbing events and offer events to outside groups that don't have these facilities.  The tower itself is a 32' tower with three sides of artificial climbing blocks and one side with a free rappel.

Our annual Fundraiser is a Brisket cook, who wants to sell popcorn in Texas when you can smoke a brisket!
